New Hampshire Insurance Department Invites Public Feedback on Women’s Health Services Grant Initiatives

CONCORD, NH (October 15, 2024) – The New Hampshire Insurance Department (NHID) is inviting members of the public to share their thoughts, ideas, and feedback on the recent $610,871 grant awarded under the Expanding Access to Women’s Health Program. This program is aimed at improving access to essential women’s health services across New Hampshire, with a focus on preventive care, maternal health, and regulatory compliance.

While the parameters of the grant and its intended uses are well-defined, the NHID recognizes the importance of engaging with the community and hearing a broad spectrum of perspectives. As part of its ongoing efforts to ensure transparency and public participation, the department welcomes feedback, even if some suggestions fall outside the scope of the grant or align with issues that are already being addressed.

“This initiative provides us with an opportunity to explore ways to improve women’s health services in New Hampshire, and public engagement plays a key role in that process,” said New Hampshire Insurance Commissioner DJ Bettencourt. “By inviting input from our communities, we can ensure that the voices of those who may benefit from these services are heard.”

“We are committed to enhancing access to healthcare services for women throughout the Granite State,” said Deputy Commissioner Keith Nyhan. “While we have a clear plan in place for this grant, we know that the public often provides valuable insights that can further strengthen our approach.”

The public is encouraged to send their thoughts and ideas via email to the NHID’s Communications Unit at communications@ins.nh.gov.
